Established Diatrends and its manufacturing facility in 1300 square feet (120 square meter) space in Mumbai, India, with a workforce of just 9 people.
Successfully entered our very first international market, Japan. Our very first client was an internationally renowned brand and one of the leading brands in Japan at the time. We exported our first shipment in March of 1995.
Introduced our products in Australia through a leading diamond wholesale company in Melbourne, who in the span of the next 10 years became our major jewellery buyer.
Expanded our distribution to the United States of America through mid to grew our manufacturing facility to 2600 square feet (240 square meters) with a workforce of close to 100.
To keep up with the growth of business, we moved our manufacturing facility once again to a 10,000 square feet premises (930 square meters), and our workforce also started gradually growing. Bought our very first Enterprise Resource Planning Software to aid us in the business expansion process. Also established business with one of the leading high end brand based in Los Angeles, who later went on to overtake our Australian client to become the leading client of Diatrends.
Established collaboration with a highly acclaimed jewellery designer in Italy, who even today continues to head our product development team. Established a design studio in Italy. Established business with a very high-end French brand who today has become the largest client of Diatrends. Adopted “Kaizen”, the Japanese system of management and implemented it across the company.
By now our workforce had grown to close to 300. Moved to a new manufacturing facility, an entire 3 story building of 12,500 square feet (1160 square meters). From manufacturing jewellery for manufacturers, wholesalers as well as retailers across the globe, we changed our sales strategy to design and manufacture only for high end international brands worldwide. Equipped our facility with the latest technologies and techniques of the time to aid us in achieving the high level of quality and consistency in productivity that was critical to our customer base of high-end brands. Upgraded our Enterprise Resource Planning to a new and state-of-the-art system to help us keep up with the continually growing business.
Set up our own jewellery brand called L.I.F.E.- Love Is For Ever and opened our flag ship store in the city of Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka in India. Simultaneously also established a showroom in our factory with the aim of retailing our jewellery as factory-direct.
Closed a deal to acquire another building adjoining to our existing building that will help us double our production capacity to aid us for keeping up with the growth of sales every year.
